The Thurston Partnership is a thriving group of 16 schools comprising Thurston Community College and primary schools within its catchment area.
The purpose of the Thurston Partnership is to contribute towards an excellent education for all children and young people in the area served by our schools. Through effective collaboration, working together and supporting and learning from each other, the Partnership helps all school continue to improve progress and attainment and offer wider opportunities for all children.
Partnership schools share these aims:
- To develop an ethos of aspiration and success among all learners, parents, staff and members of our wider community;
- To continually improve progress and attainment;
- To seek out and share best practice and to embrace effective new approaches to teaching and learning;
- To build relationships of trust and cooperation between schools;
- To retain the distinctive identity and ethos of each school.
We are seeking a highly-motivated professional to provide strategic and operational support to the headteachers of the Partnership to ensure its continued success. This is a busy and varied role with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility. Applications are encouraged from individuals who are deeply interested in education and who have the skills to provide technical and logistical support as well as the confidence to offer strategic advice and insight.
The role is based at Thurston Community College which enjoys a rural location with free parking and convenient transport links to Cambridge, Ipswich and London.
