Personal Development
We believe in developing the whole child beyond their academic outcomes. their qualifications open the door to interviews but it is the skills and characteristics they build through Personal Development that allow them to excel in that interview, and allow them to be confident, articulate successful young people.
Personal Development takes many forms across the College both on the Thurston and Beyton campus. This includes, but is not limited to, Life Skills lessons, Character Curriculum, Well-being Wednesdays, enrichment and Student Leadership.
This page will give you a sense of what we do here at Thurston Community College to help develop the whole child and build skills such as resilience, teamwork, communication and a love of lifelong learning.
